Michael Partel and Erin Hawkins purchased this extremely successful business on 1 April 2016 and have never looked back. This well-equipped workshop has established a reputation of providing the highest level of mechanical service to their extensive old and new client base.
Michael started work as an apprentice technician in Dunedin 32 years ago and has continued to work in this field ever since, setting up and running many Dunedin workshops, in Mechanical, Forman and most recently Management roles. He is also one of the very few fully qualified Alternative Fuel specialists in Dunedin. Through his many years he has become an extremely well sort after mechanic with excellent diagnostic skills. It has been Michael long term dream to purchase his own business and is thrilled to have finally achieved this goal with his partner Erin.

As a former service station site, Michael and Erin have retained the LPG dispensing tanks when they purchased providing a fast and efficient service to many fleet and taxi operators because of the easy access and great pricing.

Michael heads his team of mechanics, and has also trained several apprentices in his past 32 years. Both Michael and Erin are committed to introducing young people into the industry and currently have one student from the Pre apprenticeship course at Otago Polytechnic and one from the gateway programme.
Michael enjoys rally car racing and is often asked to be on a service crew for New Zealand and Australian drivers where he contributes on a technical basis rather getting behind the wheel.
